Lesson Learnt from biz BarangUK.com

So after I left UK, and so the BarangUK.com, I rasa sunyi and rasa my life empty without biz. I rasa most of my time under utilize and otak start berkarat la. I start mencari-cari new biz idea sehinggalah satu hari one of my customer datang collect set Noritake dia..Hmm dia beli 2 set nih..

Both set ni total up dalam RM1000 juga lah..Dia ni mampu bayar one time jer. Most of my customer biasa beli more than RM1000 akan minta byr ansuran. And dia dtg drive apa tau...

Hmm, I tak terkejut sangat mula-mula tgk kereta jer belum tengok org lagi, sbb memang most of my customer memang dari golongan yang kaya-kaya yang suka collect or beli England potteries ni..Tapi yang buat I terkejut bila yang keluarnya adalah seorg budak lagi..muda dari I lagi..(I dlm biz ni ramai yg panggil I kak sbb kebanyakan yg minat benda2 ni is kakak(s) hehehe..But this time I yang kakak..

So inilah orangnya..

Hanis Haizi yang mula-mula I kenal adalah customer I and now dah jadi mentor I aka leader I dalam biz Premium Beautiful ni. I tersangatlah inspired tengok 'budak' ni. I said to my self, how this girl can bring herself up to this level? I dengan ringan mulutnya bertanya. Ni part of the conversation yang terus menyatukan kami hehe..

Kebetulan, I memang tengah considering this kind of biz. Sebab from my other great book Mentor, Robert Kiyosaki explains tentang cashflow quadrant which looks like this;

So rasanya semua orang tahu mana rasanya jadi Employee kan..bahagia bila dapat gaji jer, shopping satu benda jer sebulan, selebihnya byr bil, bayar instalment kereta dan rumah, bagi sikit kat parents, memang jangan haraplah dalam usia muda nak ber'freedom' dengan duit tu..Apatah lagi nak hantar diorg gi Mekah dgn duit kita..

Self Employed or Small Business ni lah life I dengan BarangUK, I syok jer dapat duit, better than income jadi employee, tapi takder time freedom lak. Kalau betul duit million-million yang dapatnya berbaloi la juga hehe, tapi mmg stagnant di 4-5 figures jer at most. Lebih dari tu possible, tapi I mungkin takkan ada life lain melainkan ber'BarangUK' jer la hehehe..This is the same quadrant where Doctors, Lawyers, kedai runcit, Spa Owners, Saloon Owners, Kedai Dobi and etc (yg ada biz sendiri). Mereka kerja adalah income, mereka stop kerja or cuti, takder la income..

Business pula adalah quadrant yang I am looking for. N3 sebelum ni I ada explain tentang dalam quadrant 'Business' ni ada 3 type sahaja i.e. (1) You own your Corporation (>500 employees), (2) Franchise and (3) Network Marketing.

At this moment in life I am not at the level yang boleh go for type (1). I am considering option (2) & (3). Mula-mula I can't believe that option (3) is a BIG business. Even after I dah tau pun, I try not to go to this type (3) business. I rather go for type (2). Tapi problem dgn type (2) ni, kalau tak betul-betul boleh manage, dahlah dengan modal yang sangat besar, you boleh end up jadi Self Employed ditambah lagi dgn bebanan overhead nak byr gaji staff, licensing, office, etc. I decided to give it a try..I contacted Perodua, Subway, 1901, Delifrance, and McDonalds. Hmm, far beyond my ability when they ask me the name of my company, my asset, my 3 months cashflow..Haha rasa mcm kerdilnya diri ini! Malunya, mcm tak ukur baju di badan sendiri pun ada..hoho

Investment pula is when u ada bnyk duit you boleh bli real estate or papers portfolio mcm saham, etc. Size of investment different tau if kita beli investment guna business and bila guna duit gaji as employee. Inilah rahsia org kaya makin kaya! Hohoho!!!

My life as blogger aka entreprenuer started when I was in UK. That was in Sept 2009 to Sept 2010, ngam-ngam setahun. I ambil unpaid leave follow my husband sambung study di Edinburgh. So inilah my day to day job time kat UK dlu. Trading pinggan mangkuk. My husband siap tempahkan website ni sebelum kitorang berangkat ke UK lagi, sbb dia tau bini dia ni mmg tak boleh duduk jer kat rumah takder hasil. Walaupun taktau nak jual apa lagi.."hah takper, buat jer dulu, then kat sana nanti, jual la apa yang patut"..Itulah kata my hubby..

Alhamdulillah setahun tu jatuh bangun I dengan BarangUk ni lah. Mula-mula time sampai sana, ni la rupa kitorg...

NI bergmbar dekat masjid Edinburgh..sampai2 jer Edinburgh lagi seminggu nak raya, so ni gmbr di hari raya pertama, naik bas gi masjid, org lain semua dtg naik kete..memang mengharukan saat-saat ni tau..so lps jer solat hari raya pagi tu, terus jer balik umah huhuhuh!!

First month still try and error, I start dengan jual baju budak, tapi hampess, takder sambutan..I dah mati akal, mmg susahnya nak cari idea biz.Then satu hari jalan2 kat kedai2 kat area umah kitorg, terjumpa satu Charity Shop jual tea set. So aku tertarik nak beli, tanpa niat nak menjual pun. NI my first collection..

Time ni I tak tau apa itu bone china, ingatkan made in China..hmm tapi kenapa di backstampnya ada tulis made in England..so I add di Mudah.my "Tea Set Bone China Made in England for sale". hahah, hentam jer la..At the same time I add di BarangUK juga..hah, inilah bermulanya job I, trading bone china..Tak sangka ramai peminat tea sets ni kat Malaysia. Market I org Malaysia jer..Kalau dah namanya biz, mmg banyak sangat cabaran dan dugaan, tapi I harung jer..I buat jer..once dah buat jangan patah balik, sebab remember  'Hidup kita mestilah lebih baik hari ini dari semalam'

Bila I rasa biz ni menyeronokkan, boleh generate duit, I mula rasa nak tolong orang..Hmm, ramainya org kat UK ni yg takder buat apa2 kat umah especially isteri-isteri yang follow husband belajar..dah namanya dtg UK mesti sambung blaja kan..so semua mesti ada masalah duit ngam2 jer mkn..nak jln2 pun berdikit2..takkan nak guna duit saving utk jln2 holiday..so Tika is my first fren yg I advise suruh jual pinggan mangkuk juga..

Sesiapa yang nak order barang dari UK bolehla contact Tika ni..Then by the time I need to leave UK, I pass this biz over to my fren Kak Gie. www.kedaiuk.wordpress.com. Maka selepas itu ramai jugaklah yang start buat biz yang sama termasuklah Ina, www.koleksibaranguk.blogspot.com dan Kak Yong www.jomjengukjap.blogspot.com. Tak kurang juga my customer yang borong banyak gila dari I mcm RathaLopez dan Mr Rozz pun dah start selling..From here I rasa puas and seronok sebab walaupun I gain nothing from them, tapi I introduce them the way to make money, either directly or indirectly..Hmm looks like I boleh network marketing out of this biz kan! hahah..Anyway Good Luck to you all..You will face apa yang I dah face, rumah penuh dengan boxes, bubble wrap, and siang malam asyik ber'Ebay' jer hihihi..

Anyway, I bersyukurr sbb dah rasa kehidupan sebagai Self Employed Entreprenuer, duit banyak, biz maju, tapi ada something missing..apa yang 'missing' tu???

I miss the TIME FREEDOM!!

I generate about RM4000 to RM6000 per week out of this biz tau..lebih pun dari yang I dapat dari I bekerja as an Engineer. Tapi letihnya Allah yang tahu. Bila semakin banyak order, I happy sbb duit masyuk, tapi I semakin busy, nak order brg, nak cek brg sampai, nak take pics, upload pics, beremail, balut brg.. pos brg..sampai takder masa nak lyn Afieq, sampai dia pun kena tolong balut skali hehe..tidur kul 3-4 pagi tu standard sbb nak nak siapkan keja..husband ajak jln2 pun I refuse sbb dah busy sangat.mana taknya satu hari I tak buka laptop, RM1000 ke RM2000 hilang. Tapi dalam pada busy tu pun sempat juga lahirnya seorang lagi putera kami Muhammad Faiez, heheh. Setahun yang productive kan!!

Sebab tu bila balik KL, I CANNOT continue this biz or this kind of biz i.e the self employed biz. Duit u banyak tapi masa u TAK ADA. I rasa cukuplah dgn apa yang I dah kecapi dengan biz baranguk ni..When I think about nak continue, I sendiri yang rasa tak sanggup walaupun everyday mmg duit masuk jer..ada juga org mcm ni kan..you all mesti pk mcm ni kan..takper you all cuba dlu then u all rasa hihi..

OK today I nak sambung lagi book review "Before You Quit Your Job". Sesiapa yang memang passionate nak buka bisnes tapi tak tau or tak ada idea bisnes yang mana yang sesuai, I really recommend this book. Sebab I sendiri, sebelum I decide nak venture dalam Premium Beautiful Bisnes, I buat study dulu tentang bisnes ni and peluang bisnes yang lain.  

So topic of interest N3 kali ni IS on WHAT KIND OF BUSINESS WE WANT TO BUILD?..Soalan cepu emas kan?..

"Nak buka Bengkel Kereta ker?..Saloon & Spa ker?..Kedai Kek ker..? Restoran ker..? Taska ker?..err ataupun nak buat frozen food ker..?Hmm, buka Kedai Dobi mcm lagi senang...Meniaga pasar malam lah" ..1001 idea kan..

Another group yang ada modal lebih fikir "Nak buka kedai Perodua lah..atau pun nak buka kiosk Subway or 1901 boleh jalan tak?.."

Ni antara soalan yang SETIAP HARI I fikirkan selama 3-4 bulan selepas balik dari UK. (I reserve my story kat UK dlu k ). 3-4 bulan fikir sampai tepu tapi takde tindakan pun, still tak buka bisnes juga. Personally, constraint utama sebab I taknak quit job dahulu. Robert in this book strongly advice;

Not only will you learn about business, you will learn a lot about yourself."

So again WHAT KIND OF BUSINESS YOU WANT TO BUILD?

• Franchise
• Network Marketing

Bunyinya sangat mudah kan! Tapi fuhh memang pening nak decide walaupun dah tau jenis-jenis bisnes yang ada. Ingat tau definisi bisnes tu sendiri ialah kita as the bisnes owner mesti OWN the SYSTEM, bukannya OWN the JOB. Barula ada kebebasan MASA dan WANG! Aminnn...(for myself)

Yang mana nak pilih?..

Can Anyone be an Entrepreneur

How was everybody's wekend?..Mine was a busy one la juga, kena attend wedding and kena 'slot in' time untuk jumpa dengan pemimpin aka mentor bincang strategi biz. Alhamdulillah berkat kesabaran dan kesungguhan I MANAGE to CLOSE 60,000 sales last month!! Ni baru part time kan! I wish I can do more. Insya Allah more to come, just kena yakin dengan diri sendiri jer. Syukurrrr..

Ok dalam pada tu sempat gak I grab another book from my another mentor ahaks, ada yg kata I ni dari zaman sekolah tak sudah-sudah dengan buku, WHAT TO DO, ni my hobby sejak dulu2 lagi. But this time buku apa tu?..

Ha kalau boss I nampak memang kes naya ni heheh! The title of the book is 'Before You Quit Your Job' by Robert Kiyosaki. This is my fifth collection of his books. I bought this book just after I return from UK, I took a year of unpaid leave. But don't worry boss heheh, buku ni bukan suruh I benti keja pun. Robert explains in a great details on the difference between entrepreneur and employee.

Dalam first chapter tu, antara sub-topic menariknya, "Can Anyone Be An Entrepreneur?"

Actually jawapan kepada soalan ni bukan a simple 'YES or NO'. Yes, semua orang boleh jadi entrepreneur, termasukla org yang babysit anak2 kita, penjual kuih and nasi lemak, kedai runcit Hussin, blogging dan even McDonalds!. The more critical question is which entrepreneur you most want to be - the babysitter or McDonalds? Both are important to the public kan.

Jadi entrepreneur ni not a big deal, cuma "Di tahap manakah profession keusahawanan yang kita nak ceburi?  ha..."Jadi tepukla dada kita tanyala diri sendiri". Peluang dah terbuka di depan mata, cabarla diri kita peluang mana yang kita nak grab tu okay!!
